An Edetan village: La Seña (Villar del Arzobispo, Valencia)

Vitrina 102
La Seña is a walled village of about 8000 square meters located on a plain, and with a chronology that extends from the sixth century B.C. until the second century B.C..
Daily activities of the villagers were mainly aimed at the exploitation of agricultural resources from the nearby environment. Not surprisingly, archaeological excavations discovered structures for the processing of olives. An oil mill was documented in one of the houses, and two large presses for the pressing of olives were found on the surface (room IV).
Other economic activities were related to the processing and trading of metal, as suggested by a magnificent iron ingot.
